- Swim-Tread-Swim Test:
✅ Swim 150 yards - using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both.
✅ Tread water for 2 minutes without using hands and arms.
✅ Swim 50 yards - using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both. - Complete Brick Test in 1:40 or less.
✅ Swim 20 yards, surface dive to retrieve a 10lb brick, swim 20 yards on the back to return to the start point. (holding the brick at the surface with both hands and keeping face at or near the water surface) and exit the water using the ladder or steps.

Lifeguarding & Water Safety Courses
At Fort Campbell Aquatics - Lifeguarding and Water Safety Courses are available year round from trained professionals who can help you gain the skills and confidence necessary for providing care and instruction when it's needed most. We offer a wide range of courses throughout the year making it easy for you to become certified or earn your recertification with a schedule that fits your needs. Available courses include: Lifeguarding, Aquatic Instructor training, Safety Training for Swim Coaches, and more.

Fort Campbell Aquatics lifeguarding and water safety students must be at least 15 years old by the last day of class and have passed a pre-course swimming skills test prior to taking the course. Once students are enrolled, they'll receive the latest science-based training available from experienced instructors and develop skills they'll use for a lifetime. Courses are available in a variety of ways and can include: in person or via our blended Simulation Learning experience, which combines online coursework with in-person skills sessions. In addition to full courses, abbreviated recertification courses are also available for those who hold current lifeguarding certifications.
At Fort Campbell Aquatics - our Water Safety and Lifeguarding courses are designed and taught by industry-leading professionals who can not only help you - help others stay safe in, on and around the water, but can also help you learn the latest safety and rescue techniques as well as how to deliver critical care like CPR, First Aid and AED administration. Each class will cover a variety of important skills that can help you stay safe and help others enjoy the water safely.
