Important Facility Updates for Fort Campbell Child and Youth Services:

We are excited to announce that effective May 2024, select Fort Campbell Child and Youth Service facilities will undergo significant improvements aimed at better serving our Military Families. These enhancements are part of our ongoing commitment to providing top-notch care and support to you and your children.

Effective May 15th, 2024:

  • Relocation of Strong Beginnings Program: The Strong Beginnings program has returned to its original location at 3301 Indiana Avenue. We are thrilled to welcome back this vital program to its familiar setting, where it will continue to provide invaluable support to our youngest community members.
  • Child Development Center #1 (CDC1) Closure: Located at BLDG 3071 on Bastogne Avenue & 35th Street, CDC1 has temporarily closed for renovations. We anticipate the closure to last approximately 18 months. During this time, we will work diligently to upgrade and enhance the facility to create an even more nurturing environment for your children.
  • Closure / Repurpose of Kentucky Hourly Care: The Kentucky Hourly Care facility, located at 2187 Kentucky Avenue, has ceased providing hourly care services on 16 May, and is being repurposed to provide Full-Day care. However, hourly care services will transition over to FCC providers and the Fort Campbell Armed Services YMCA. This transition is designed to streamline services and ensure uninterrupted care for your children as much as possible.
  • Introduction of Respite Care Services: We understand the importance of respite care for our Military Families. As such, we are pleased to announce that respite care services, offering up to 16 hours per month, will be available through the CYS Parents Day & Night Out monthly events and FCC providers.
(Please note that these respite care hours cannot be utilized Armed Services YMCA care.)

We deeply appreciate your understanding and patience as we embark on these essential facility improvements. Our goal is to create an environment that not only meets but exceeds your expectations, providing your family with the highest quality of care and support.
