📢 Fort Campbell Aquatics is offering group swimming lessons for kids that allow everyone the opportunity to learn in a safe environment, at their own pace.  All classes are taught by certified, knowledgeable and caring instructors who can help swimmers at every level feel comfortable in the water and progress to the next level. 

⚠️📢 Evaluations are REQUIRED before enrolling in class and can be scheduled in person at Gardner Indoor Pool for more information call Aquatics at:

📌 Schedule is tentative and subject to change based on instructor availability and pool Maintenace. 

✔️ Bring a towel, a bottle of water and goggles (if needed)

✔️ Evaluations typically last 10-15 minutes.

✔️ The cashier will then notate the results in our system for an easy registration process.

Swim Class Descriptions

Swim Class Descriptions

Level A   Parent and Child Aquatics (Parent/Adult required in water)

  • Ages 6 months – 3 years)
  • A Program for parents and their children where the parents are taught correct water acclimating techniques and general water safety for their children.

Pre School I 3-5 yrs (No Parent Participation)

  • Skills taught include entering and exiting the water safely, submerging head and blowing bubbles for 3 seconds, gliding on front for 3 body lengths and rolling to back both with support.
  • No prerequisites

Pre School II 3-5 yrs (No Parent Participation)

  • Skills taught include bobbing, supported floating, introduction to strokes and kicking. Exit skills.
  • Prerequisite- preschool I exit skills.

Pre School III  3-5 yrs (No Parent Participation)

  • Skills taught include breath control, unsupported floating, unsupported kicking and combined strokes on the front. Exit skills.
  • Prerequisite- preschool II exit skills

Level I Introduction to Water Skills  6-12 yrs

  • Skills taught include water adjustment, breath control, supported kicking, entering and exiting pool independently and basic water safety. Exit skills
  • No prerequisite

Level II Fundamental Aquatic Skills 6-12 yrs

  • Skills taught include unsupported floating; flutter kicking, finning, gliding. Combined stroke (front & back), rhythmic breathing and water safety skills. Exit skills.
  • Prerequisite- Level I exit skills!

Level III Stroke Development 6-12 yrs

  • Skills taught include the use of lifejackets, front and back crawl with rotary breathing (15 yards), introduction to Butterfly kick, and treading 30 sec in deep water.  Exit skills
  • Prerequisite- Level II exit skill

Adult Lessons

  • Participants learn basic swimming strokes and skills needed to stay safe, and keep others safe, in and around the water.  In addition, they will gain proficiency in basic aquatics skills and the six swimming strokes.  Finally, individuals will learn to refine strokes and turns to build endurance.
