The Volunteer Management Information System (VMIS) is used across the Army to manage volunteer service.

VMIS App

VMIS allows you to:

  • Find and apply for volunteer positions
  • Log volunteer hours
  • Record training and awards
  • Build a volunteer service record
  • Create a volunteer resume

Why Tracking Hours Matters

Logging your volunteer hours ensures your service is officially recognized. Tracked hours may be required for certificates, awards, and letters of appreciation. Your VMIS record can also be used for resumes, job applications, or school programs.

Your volunteer record stays with you when you move to a new installation.
